Week # 2

Ok so it has only taken me a month to get to this, sorry. I am going to say that week two begins with a phone call from Bryant. They wouldn't let him on his second flight, because it was full and he would have to wait two hours till the next flight. Which is fine he waits for the next flight and their isn't enough room because they let the pilots and other airline people go before him. So not okay! Now there is only one flight until morning (the day of the wedding) and he is twelve on standby. So I call up the lovely airline spend an hour or so on the phone saying very nice things, but mostly crying knowing that at this point they can't do anything. After I have done everything to try and get him to Salt Lake before six i with no hope I give up. Realizing that Braynt's not going to make the wedding, the reason for flying back. Finally Bryant is on a flight in the morning and they put him and Nochyn up in a hotel. Ok so my poor dog had to sit around in an airport for I think ten hours no potty breaks. Not that Bryant didn't want to take her out, but he couldn't leave and come back for the flight he was supposed to get on. Anyhow it worked out that Tania's (my new sister-in-law) dad who had tried for twenty hours to drive up for the wedding, but due to the huge storm all the roads had been closed. Anyhow we made it to the temple in time to see them come out! Better than nothing. After the wedding we had a luncheon at a chapel with some amazing desert. Which I am now thinking would have been great for the desert that I had to come up with for Enrichment! Duh! Then we drove from Mount Pleasant to Vernal. Man there was a lot of time in a car! The next day we got things ready for the reception and had mad dash to get everything done before it started. Ya know the normal. Tayvon and Kian fought over the boutinerere (sorry no idea how spell) and Tayvon came up the winner. Thanks Kian for being such a good guy! We played on the four wheeler for the rest of our stay in Vernal. Ok so cute story about Tayvon; Grandpa Gordon took all the kids to go ride behind the four wheeler on a sled and it backfired so the rest of the time Tayvon would only ride on the four wheeler because he said it would shoot him. I laughed so hard. Then we headed up to Bern for Christmas Eve, and because I told my mom that I would be in charge of the Family dinner since it was her turn this year. My dad's side of the family does a Christmas Eve dinner since I can remember. My Grandparents did it until they passed away and then my Aunt Ann and Mom have switched off every year since they passed. So I was pretty excited about coming up the food and what we have and making it for people. The food turned out except for the steak wasn't cooked in time so luckily I had two choices which turned into one. Christmas was amazing! For me I love being with family and enjoying celebrating something so wonderful as the Saviors birth. The kids all dressed up in random attire found though out Grandma's house. I must say that Bre Bre was so cute in her little red dress. Tayvon was determined to be Joesph. Pretty Cute if you ask me! After Christmas we played on the snow mobile and enjoyed Grandma's hospitality. Thanks bunches for letting us stay. And that was our Christmas VaCa.
From the book Happily Ever After, by Kristin Armstrong:

"It is such a sorrowful waste of energy and spirit to grieve the woman you are not. Based on worldly standards, there will always be someone smarter, funnier, younger, thinner, wealthier, or prettier than you.Reread that, soak it in. And then promptly get over it."

I love this and just wanted to share!

Week # 1

After the flight, we landed Friday night and Nikol came to get us at the airport. Regretably my stroller was broken, which wasn't really that bad because we were going to have to leave it because of lack of room for the drive back. So I decided hey why not see if I can get fifty dollars out of it for double stroller that I have been wanting and asking for, for well over a year. It took sometime, but I ended up getting $210.00 towards my new running stroller. So if you know of any good ones let me know, I am in the market for one. On Saturday I think we just kind of hung out until Nikol had to go to an interview which ended up getting canceled or rather postponed. After the kids got put down for naps, I got ready to go to the endowment, and then Nikol showed up we discussed what to do with my kids. We realized that we needed to leave and so I ran to get the kids stuff together got loaded and headed out to Provo. On our drive there my Father-in-law Gordon called and wanted us to meet him at my brother-in-laws apartment so the kids could just run around instead of Nikol going and finding a place to hang out with them. We of course got lost but found it after awhile. My father-in-law and me zipped to Temple got there when they were supposed to be heading up to the endowment room and my mother-in-law was waiting for us at the door. So here I am thinking, oh great I 've delayed the only parents who are here and now they are not attending the endowment. Great! This little lady temple worker offers to go check to make sure they haven't started or delay them for us, no one would decide so I told her if you could that would be great. So to make a longer story short we made it and so did someone else's parents. It was magic! The rest of the week we hung out with Nikol's Family. Thank you bunches by the way we had a ball, bedsides Tayvon manhandling everything in your house! The kids had an ice cream party and were able to choose a whole tub of any ice cream they wanted. I must say it was lots of fun to just let them run up and down the ice cream isle to find which one they wanted. Aysha picked orange, Gage ended up getting a box of ice cream sandwiches, and Tayvon grabbed lifesaver ice cream. Madie learned from Aunt Kol to clap it was way to cute and fun. Another highlight or lowlight was Nikol ended up taking four kids out in the snow storm to go pick up Temen (her husband)off the side of the road. Nikol or Nika as I refer to her called to have me meet her, but don't worry I showed up only an hour and half later due to getting lost again!! Then went to get my car back & register it up in Ogden at Tyson & Lyndsie's house. We were only able to stay for a night. We had a late movie party. Brie Brie wanted Tayvon to sleep with Shellbie and her, but he couldn't leave his mom. The next day I headed up to Logan for really ten minutes to register my car. The kids played all day, ripping out all of their toys, puzzles, playmobile, you name it. Tayvon actually went to the potty the whole time we were there. Wahoo! We had so much fun with them! Thank you Bunches! Then went to Aysha's Birthday Party, can't believe that she is four. After all the nummy food and Bryant's disaster with his flights we headed to Temple square to the Lights. Way fun! Oh ya so Tayvon rode with Tyson and Lyndsie teasing Brie the whole trip calling her Riley which is her little sister's name, and Tyson goes what is your name? Tayvon goes I am Tyson! Way to cute. I'll tell you all about his disaster's in week #2. Here's some fun pictures from week one;

Flying!

OK so really it's my fault for not really thinking about flying with two kids before I just decided to fly out a week early to attend an endowment. I realized the morning we flew out that I am crazy for attempting to fly with a six month old and a two year old. So the first flight was only twenty three minutes on a really small plane, but we made it. I am a little scared of getting lost in a massive airport which was where our next flight was out of. We had a two hour layover, which was nice for a little while. The first thing I did when I get off the plane is to find out what terminal I need to go to and where. So I have to go down some stair and ride a bus. Which it sounds easy until you calculate a stroller, two bags, a purse, and two kids. Luckily almost everyone we ran into was offering help, because if anyone knows me I don't ask even if I need it. Then when we arrive in the terminal I've been sent to I double check with someone that I have the right place. Its jammed packed so we go down the hall form our terminal. I wait until about twenty minutes to when were supposed to board, but I am not seeing any information on our flight. So when our flight is supposed to be boarding I go and ask someone and I am told that they have changed the terminal and I'll have to ride the shuttle over so that I won't miss it. Then I am in panic mode. We end up making it to the next terminal and we sit and wait for about forty minutes or so. Then they change our terminal again. At this point I am going are you people crazy. So we make it to the next terminal and Maddie has a blow out! That's just how life is, right. I stand up at the desk for ten minutes to find out when the flight was going to leave so we wont miss it while were in the bathroom cleaning her up. The man lets me know that they will be loading as soon as he gets to the door but that they will wait for me. I made it before we would have even boarded. So those who are not well acquainted with Tayvon he is to say the least a social butterfly. Everyone we met was "What's your name?" and on and on. On this flight we met two Allen's one was a Flight Attendant I was asking if he thought we would make our next flight. Allen told me the only way we would make it is if their was a delay. So as soon as we landed I booked it off waited for our stroller and placed Madison on the our coats, picked up the bags and Tayvon and headed off to the other airline we were flying on. So I am walking pretty fast and then over the intercom I hear this is the final boarding for flight blah blah to Salt Lake. I go to Tayvon that's our flight, we've got to run. I put him down and tell to run for all he's worth. Needless to say we pull up to our gate to board out of breath and had the lady our tickets. The lady goes is this your flight, um no we just ran for fun. Then she's goes you haven't checked in. I go I am sorry I just barely got off my flight and we just made it here. Then she goes you have a baby. No I just grabbed one while we were running here. I was nice and said yes. The lady goes off about we can't seat where our tickets are so they will have to move someone. Then we get on the plane the last ones, sitting at the very back. So I just knocked everyone with our bags going to the back. These pictures our from our last flight. I'll fly again with two kids, with less layovers. IT was worth the week.
